You'll drive our new Localism framework, to ensure that local people are involved actively in the key decisions which affect their lives. As the interface between local service providers, community groups and local businesses, you will facilitate and co-ordinate a range of actions so that locally delivered services are adapted to meet local needs and expectations. You will also play a vital part in facilitating the introduction of Community Budgets and the growth of social capacity, as we integrate provision on the ground and increase self-sufficiency.

This attractive role calls for strong commissioning, leadership and organisational skills. You will have a high level of commercial acumen and a proven track record of building effective relationships – particularly with elected Members to support them as Community Leaders, as well as with town and parish councils. Successful experience of large scale engagement and network building with a wide range of stakeholders will be vital.
